Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan Saved Her County $445,000

Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan has just saved her country some $445,000.
The money had been budgeted for Independence day celebrations preparations. But she has now directed it be used to build dormitories for children with special needs.
According to DW Africa, the cash had already been disbursed for the 61st independence day and now the east African country will earmark the day by having public dialogues on development.
Usually, Independence Day celebrations are marked with pomp and state banquets.
