The MDC T president Sanator Douglas Mwonzora has today the 6th of February 2023 appointed his national standing committee, with notable absentees including the late founding president Morgan Tsvangirayi’s son , Vincent who has been Mwonzora’s blue eye boy since the acrimonious infighting that teared apart the once might opposition.

Interestingly, Mwonzora demoted former MDC T national chairperson Komichi “Baba Abhurahama”.
In addition, Mwonzora fired his rebels: MP Vincent Tsvangirai, vice president Mudzuri, Marara among others from the national standing committe.
For Masvingo, Mwonzora appointed his preferred 2023 parliamentary contestants, who include Bonface Mazarire (Deputy sec. of information and publicity), for Masvingo urban and Festus Dumbu (secretary of elections) to contest for Zaka.
