Independent candidate attacks seasoned politicians

Aspiring Chitungwiza North independent candidate Shepherd Ignatius Zambezi says that in the event that he gets elected he would treat people in his Constituency with so much respect alleging that seasoned politicians were only after enriching themselves at the expense of the poor.
In an interview with Chaminuka News24, Zambezi said that season politicians had failed the people of Zimbabwe and don’t deserve to be re-elected on August 23.
“They (season politicians) focus too much on consolidating power at the expense of serving the people. They are into politics for financial gains and safeguarding their properties,” he said.
“You only see them during election time canvassing support. After the elections, you won’t see them again. Money is all they understand, enriching themselves, and leaving the people who voted them into office, to wallow in poverty. “
Zambezi alleged that the current legislators failed to create meaningful laws during their five-year term.
“Parliament is a place where legislators should debate and create laws that spur development and help the general populace, not laws that suppress freedom. No meaningful laws have come out of parliament,” he said.
Zambezi added that if he gets elected he will put to good use the Community Development Fund (CDF)
He is contesting for Chitungwiza North seat with the Citizens Coalition for Change against CCC candidate and current legislator Godfrey Sithole and Spencer Machangara of ZANU PF.
