‘If Trump loses, I’m f**ked’ – Musk
Tech mogul Elon Musk has told American journalist Tucker Carlson that he’s “all in” on Donald Trump winning the US presidential election in November.
The billionaire sat down with Carlson for a full-length interview published on Monday on Musk’s X (formerly Twitter) social media network.
Carlson began the interview by theorizing what would happen if Democratic nominee Kamala Harris beats Republican rival Trump in November. “If he loses… you’re f**ked, dude!” Carlson said, prompting both men to burst into laughter.
“If he loses, I’m f**ked,” Musk agreed, adding “how long do you think my prison sentence is going to be? Will I see my children? I don’t know.”
The Tesla CEO formally endorsed Trump for president in July, following an assassination attempt against the former president at a rally in Pennsylvania.
“And I’ve been trashing Kamala non-stop,” Musk told Carlson. “The Kamala puppet, I call her. And the machine that the Kamala puppet represents,” the billionaire added.
Musk referred back to a controversial X post he wrote – and later deleted – saying that no one is attempting to kill Harris, whereas Trump has faced two assassination attempts. “Some people interpreted it as if I was calling for people to assassinate her,” he explained, adding that there is “no reason to try to assassinate a puppet.”
“She’ll say whatever words are on the teleprompter, so… it’s really whoever controls the teleprompter is actually in charge.”
In reply to Musk facing potential difficulties should Trump lose, the billionaire said he’s “all in.”
Musk confirmed that he had discussed heading a “government efficiency commission” as part of a potential Trump administration. After buying X, he let go 80% of its staff and “improved the features and functionality of the site” in the process, he claimed.
The interview with Carlson comes just days after Musk joined Trump on stage at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, the city where he survived the first attempt on his life. Musk spoke to an excited crowd, praising the former president’s composure under fire.
Despite being a self-proclaimed political moderate, Musk began leaning towards Trump in recent times. He explained that rather than his political views changing, the views of the political left in the US have become so extreme that he seems right-wing by comparison. RT
