Security guard in court for burning down Mbare Musika

A security guard who was manning the area close to Mbare Musika on the night a fire broke out destroying wares valued at millions of dollars has appeared in court over the incident.

Action Chakauya (35) is charged with negligently causing serious damage to property.

The State alleges that his colleagues who were on duty that night saw him starting the fire which later spread destroying infrastructure and wares worth US$5 million.
