Nigerian rapes Zim woman in Oman

BY STAFF REPORTER

A Zimbabwean woman (name withheld) in Muscat, Oman is seeking justice after she was allegedly raped by a Nigerian businessman Nigerian Emmanuel Fidel Chukwuma (47).

The single mother who narrated her ordeal in a video said she left Zimbabwe for Oman in search of greener pastures and unfortunately found herself in misery.

I have been sexually exploited and abused by my boss. This (in the video) is his office, desk, and mine. He rapped me behind this door. What pains me is that this man took advantage of my situation. He knew that I needed to secure a job and lied to me. He knew that I was confused, scared and a novice in this county and used all sorts of gimmicks that at one point he booked a hotel without my knowledge just to achieve his goals,” .

she said

After that incident I felt a certain discomfort in my board. I informed him about it and didn’t take me for medical treatment. Instead he told me to wait until his return from his father’s burial in Nigeria. A few days after he left for Nigeria the pain became unbearable. I informed him about it and sent me 20n Omani Rial (US$52.02) which he intentionally knew wasn’t enough for medical examinations or treatment,”

She said

I am appealing to women activists around the world to bring justice to me and what was done to me. All I am asking for is justice.”

Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Spokesperson Mr Livit Mugejo said the ministry didn’t come across such news.

National police spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi said that he would check with the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol).

This would need Interpol. You can give us questions. We will then ask the CID (Criminal Investigations Department officers and get to understand the matter,” he said.
