Controversially run Chitungwiza Municipality held a four-day roadshow across all the four corners of the domitary town .
According to the Municipality, the road shows are aimed at promoting service delivery by encouraging retapayers to pay and get a 30% discount.
The Municipality also said that the road show was to educate people on illegal structures,
“we are offering a 50% discount on penalties until the end of November. We are at Taita shopping centres and after we will be hearing to Zvipoto, Tryagain shops, Zvido and Unit A close to Chibiku stadium” a
statement from council reads
The Municipality said the engagements with residents will lead towards improvement of service delivery.
“We continue with residents and ratepayers’ engagement efforts as we are geared towards improving service delivery. Illegal property owners are encouraged to take advantage of the 50% penalty discount being offered until the end of November”

Chitungwiza Municipality is one the badly run council in the country. There has been widespread cases of embezzlement of public funds by both elected and appointed officials .
