FOR someone that has made a career singing about love, South Africa based Zimbabwean songbird Sha Sha has kept her romantic life under wraps, staying out of the headlines despite great interest in her.
However, the Tender Love hit-maker seems to have shed some light about her relationship status, posting a picture of an engagement ring on her social media accounts.
In typical Sha Sha fashion, the post was cryptic, as she used a heart emoji as the only caption accompanying the picture of her hand adorned with a sparkling ring. The songbird also did not respond to messages of congratulations that poured in from such notable entertainment figures as Gemma Griffiths, Lady Du, Ami Faku and DBN Gogo.
Last week, the songbird added more fuel to the ongoing social media speculation by posting a picture of herself donning a stunning white wedding dress.
While some followers were even more convinced that the Queen of Amapiano has found a king to rule besides her, others were skeptical, as they took the photo as a hint towards the release of an upcoming love and wedding themed video.
Quizzed about why she is single in the past, Sha Sha said she could only consider dating someone who is also in the music industry.
“I don’t know how many times I have been asked that question. I am single by choice. I feel like I’d have to be with someone who actually understands this industry so I wouldn’t want any unnecessary drama,”
she said.
The songbird recently released “I’m Alive”, her first project since 2019’s breakthrough Blossom EP, which was released while she was still under the tutelage of then mentor Maphorisa.
