Popular messaging application, WhatsApp has announced that it will soon stop working on a few Android smartphones and also some iPhones after December 2022.

The Meta-owned social network will stop rolling out updates from December 31. 2022 is finally wrapping up! This year, we saw many new gadgets arrive in the smartphone market, along with several new features and upgrades.

Meta-owned Instant-messaging platform, WhatsApp will soon stop working on a few Android smartphones and also some iPhones after December 2022.

WhatsApp will be ending support for its platform on some Android and Apple models. According to a report by GizChina, WhatsApp is planning on ending support for almost 49 smartphones across different brands such as Samsung, Apple and more.

The report suggests that the Meta-owned social network will stop rolling out updates from December 31, which will eventually lead to WhatsApp service shut down on these smartphones.

The new feature will allow users to report a status update right within a new menu in the status section, reports WABetaInfo.
