Citizens Coalition for Change leader Nelson Chamisa says most things have taken shape in his party (CCC) and is ready for the official launch next year.
In a series of Tweets today, Chamisa said 2022 has been a good year for the opposition movement formed in January this year.
“This 2022 GOD has been good to us. We covered milestones the draft constitution is ready, manifesto ready, candidate selection template, elections agents and the elections strategy,” he said.
Chamisa also talked about the party’s electoral reforms document PREPARE (Pre-Election Pact on Electoral Reforms) launched in September as it demanded electoral reforms.
However, no single reform in the seven-pillar electoral blueprint has been implemented.
The demands made include the release of an audited voters roll ahead of the 2023 elections.
An Electoral Amendment Bill gazetted later by Government never incorporated any of the reforms in PREPARE and CCC never pushed for the proposed reforms through Parliament.
The youthful CCC leader also said that the power transfer strategy was also ready in the event that the party wins the much-awaited 2023 election.
Other issues which he said were ready is fundraising strategy, jobs plan after winning elections and the diaspora policy.
