Zim Amongst Most Visited Country’s In the World

Zimbabwe has been ranked 6th in the 2022 Africa’s most visited countries with a total of 2 million visits having been recorded in the tourism industry.
The ranking puts Zimbabwe in second position, after South Africa which recorded 10 million visitors, in the Southern African Development Community (SADC) region despite reports of politically motivated human rights violations.
In the continent, Egypt tops the list with 13 million visits while second placed Morocco has 12 million. South Africa is in third place while Tunisia and Algeria are fourth and fifth with 8 million and 2,5 million visits respectively.
The remaining four countries to complete the top ten are Mozambique 1,5m, Kenya 1,4m, Tanzania 1,3m and Uganda 1million in that order.
Zimbabwe is one of the Southern African countries which is endowed with natural sites such as the Victoria falls, Matobo hills, Inyangani Mountains and other man made features such as the Kariba lake and the Birchenough bridge.
The country also boasts of the largest elephant population after Botswana.
