Tsvangirai’s uncle defeats Sikhala Jnr in CCC candidates selection race
Tsvangirai’s uncle locks Sikhala Jnr out of Zengeza West
THE opposition icon Morgan Tsvangirai’s uncle Innocent Zvaipa won the ticket to represent the Citizens Coalition for Change in Zengeza West. Chitungwiza defeating Job Sikhala Jnr.
Zengeza West is currently under incarcerated Sikhala Snr whose arrest denied the opportunity to be nominated during the CCC candidates selection process. Subsequently, his son was nominated.
Senior CCC members in Chitungwiza reliably informed Chaminuka News24 that Sikhala Jnr lost.
“Yes, it is true that Sikhala lost to Sekuru Sekuru Glamorgan Tsvangirai,” the source said.
Chitungwiza South legislator Maxwell Mavhunga was uncontested while Godfrey Sithole reportedly won in all wards in Chitungwiza North.
In Zengeza East the fierce battle was between Goodrich Chimbaira and former legislators Alexio Musundire.
There were reported incidents of violence in St Mary’s Constituency during the selection process and no news filtered on who won.
