Allow Chamisa to vist me – Sikhala
By Staff Reporter
Incarcerated Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) legislator Job Sikhala has lashed out at Chikurubi authorities for blocking party leader Nelson Chamisa from visiting him and give leeway to people seeking political mileage.
This came as the outspoken Sikhala was visited by MDC Alliance leader Douglas Mwonzora.
There are people who will try to use my name to resuscitate dead political careers. I am locked up hear, I can’t t see them and I cant speak. Please be my eyes and voice They will spread falsehoods, please defend me and my name. I seek no sympathy from opportunists”
Job Sikhala told his spokesperson Freddy Masarirevu
If prison official genuinely want to allow everyone, including opposition leaders to visit me they should start with president Nelson Chamisa. It cant be any other person.” As if referring to Mwonzora, he quizzed the essence of inviting the press during his visit. “To genuinely see an inmate do you need to invite the press? Really, the press?”
he said.
“Chikurubhi Maximum prison is trully for everyone. You can express an intention to see inmates, go and have yourself taken nice selfies and videos,” “The key question is DO THE INMATES WANT TO SEE YOU? If the answer is NO, you will only return with your selfies and misleading videos.”
